TEDx Talk
How to rebuild public trust in science
Public trust in science is low, and the best way to turn that around is by meeting people where they are — both literally and figuratively. My talk makes the case that universities, research institutions, and media outlets need to team up to break down barriers and build better connections between scientists, journalists, and the public.
That means making space for scientists to communicate beyond the academic bubble — and prioritizing it. It also means showing people how science shows up in their own communities and why it matters to their everyday lives.

Since I gave the talk at TEDxOshkosh, I’ve been interviewed on Wisconsin Public Radio and the Data Malarky podcast.
The talk was also the inspiration for my article in RSA Journal in March 2025.
